Services Overview
Our Philosophy
Every child communicates differently. At Rooted Connections Therapy, therapy begins with understanding your child’s unique strengths, interests, communication style, and goals.
We provide child-led, play-based, evidence-informed, and neuroaffirming care that respects each child’s individuality and supports meaningful communication. We work collaboratively with families to develop practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday life.

Benefits of In-Home Therapy
Children often communicate most naturally in familiar environments. In-home therapy allows us to work within the routines, activities, and relationships that matter most to your family.

Evidence-Informed
Therapy combines clinical expertise, current research, and practical strategies tailored for real-life success.
Child-Led Growth
We honor your child's unique pace and interests, using their natural curiosity as the foundation for progress.

Family Connection
Therapy is a shared experience, strengthening the bond between you and your child through play and daily routines.
Consistent Care
Consistent, regular visits in your child's home ensure steady progress and help build a deep understanding of unique needs.

Service Area
How do I know if my child would benefit from speech and language therapy?
If you have concerns about your child’s speech, language, or communication, it’s worth reaching out. We can talk through your concerns, learn more about your child, and help determine whether an assessment or other support would be appropriate.
Do I need a referral to see an SLP?
No. A referral is not required to access private speech and language services. Some extended health plans may have their own requirements for reimbursement, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider.
What happens during the first appointment?
The first appointment is an opportunity to get to know your child and family. Depending on your child and the reason for referral, we may use play-based activities, observation, conversation, and informal assessment tools. We’ll discuss our findings and recommendations with you and work together to determine the next steps.
Where does therapy take place?
Services are provided in the comfort of your home within our established service area.
